POST 9: “Your experience learning English at the University / A general reflection.”

Well, to this post there three option and I choose topic “Your experience learning English at the University / A general reflection.”. So, today, I`ll write about this.

Actually, english is very important in the life, because, this idiom is present in different aspect. The globalization that is living the planet has made that English lenguaje a key to understanding among differents nations.

Internet has been a medium that has led to the globalization of english lenguage.

Today learn english is a need, so is imnportant that educational institutions consider integrate english idiom in the education of their students.

When I went to university, my carrer considerate not teaching English as a subject, this integrate was done when I was in the first year of my career, in 2007.

So, since second year of university I toke English subject, since Level one.

During english classes, I learned much, however, in school almost did not study the language, so this has been very difficult for me, because, in my opinion, level of English subject is high for those without a good basis for this language.

But, I think it is important to learn English, so reasons I mentioned in previous paragraphs and because as a student is required to handle the language as much information on research and several documents written in English, then, for this is very necesary to know this language.

Also, I cosider important that English subject integrate use of technologies in their studies program and that troght them, e have access to documents and softwares that allow us to study and practice the language.

For example, pataforma website allow us learn by practice, because it have a lot of exercises to practice, grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary and so forth. Also, use of blog allow us to practice writing and expand our vocabulary, usin words and expressions that we know and find new others.

So, during these four levels of English that I attended, I have learned a lot. My level of language skills is not very high comparated to my classmates, however, I had a lower level management even in the language before taking English class of first level.

I believe that these classes have given me tools to manage idiom and I think that with practice and study I can overcome my level of English language even more.

For now, I hope to pass this subject and to continue learning with different life experiences.

POST 9, NOVEMBER 11 THEMED POST 4 "CHRISTMAS"

Today I write aout Christmas.

Well, Ican write that Chirstmas is a fest that We celebrate every Decemer 25^th. This is a christian celebration of the irth of Jesus Christ.

Ago 2010 (wich will e met this year) Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem, according to history.

At the birth of Jesus Christ were, of course, Mary virgen (his mother), carpenter Joseph (his father and also three wise men: Melchior, Gaston and Balthasar, who led gift: gold, frankincense and myrrh, respectively. In addition to these people were, obviously, animal of the stable, according to history.

So, as I wrote at the beginning of this post, Christmas is celebrated on December 25^th, this day is a holiday in many countries around the world, but celebrations start from the “Eve”, thhis is night of December 24^th.

Well, form my experience I can mentioned that my parents are christians, so they prepare to celebrate Christmas. In December, they set christmas three, manger and a delicious dinner to Eve.

I`m not a Christian, but I like Eve, because I share with my family and we ate delicious food. Also, we share some gifts as a symbol of gratitude for family support or a symbol of recognition for the achievements and efforts made in the year.

Eve is a good opportunity to celebration, because the next day not working, then it`s a time to have fun and relax. This celebration is very good to me, I like to be a quiet night and to be with the family.

I think that it is important to mention that in Cristmas times, many people (including some christians) forget the religious origin of Christmas and only spend money on a lot of meaningless gifts, because Advertising manipulates their minds to buy a lot of products and go into debt.

Actually, this celebration of christian origin presents very special characteristics, por ejemplo, The birth of Jesus is secondary, while the main thing is to buy a lot fikts, but... Why?, generally the answer is: “To Christmas”.

Post 8, November 4 th. How green are you?

How are you?

Well, today I`ll write about question: “How green are you?”. This is a question very important, but it`s not common. I think that question is important, because the planet is changing violently and quickly, maybe humans are responsible to it, for example pollution cause global warming, too there overexploitation problems of natural resources, extinction of flora and fauna, among others.

In this society, sometimes, people involve in some environmental organizations appear in media, expressing the importance of environmental care, they talk about global warming, pollution, etc..However, society does not take massive action.

I do not participate in any environmental organization and I know neither people that participate in some, but I think that is importante that some people work to care of the planet and report the issue. I`ve never had the oppotunity to participate in any organization I`ve also ecological and thought about it, but I try to protect the environment with simple measures.

For example, I think it's important to recycle, I took the glass bottles, batteries and cans on specials containers. Also I reusing products, such as papers, bottles, boxes, etc.

Currently it is common to see people riding bicycles in the streets, some municipalities have built bike paths, but these are few and short. I love bikes, but I have not one, when I have to go to nearby places I'd rather walk. I think it's important to encourage the use of bicycles instead of cars to reduce pollution, it is also cheaper.

Well, I think that it is important that local authorities build bike lanes to help care for the environment and protect the lives of people who use this transportation healthy.

I think that society should become aware of environmental problems and help save the environment with simple measures such as recycling. I also think it important to respect animals

Childhood memories =)

Hello classmates!

How are you?

The topic today is "childhood memories."

I have many fond memories of my childhood, but today I elect only one memmory from my childhood and so I write about my first bike and rides that had mounted on it.

Well, I was 5 when I received my first bike for Christmas, I remember that this night I was with my family sitting by the Christmas tree and we listen a noise, then my mother opened the pert and there was my bike with a great gift ribbon.

My first bike was white with purple color in the wheel had a white basket, behind had a grill, my brother sitting in grill and the bike also had training wheels. I liked my first bike, it was very beautiful !

The wheels of my bike support were very important to me because I could not ride it. I needed the support wheels for a long time to maintain balance.

However, after supporting wheels were a problem, because they could only walk at low speed and I liked to compete with my friends, but they went very fast in their bike and I always lost, because the support wheels could only ride slowly.

Then one day I decided to get the wheels on my bike, I got on it and walked quickly to achieve balance and avoid falling. That day I walked several hours on a bicycle. I was very happy because I felt "free" because it could pedal faster in many places.

Well, my first bike is one of my favorite memories of childhood, because that Christmas night was special because my family was together and in this time my desire was have a bike to learn to ride it.

SEPTEMBER 2ND, TASK 2 POST 2 (week 4) >> A COUNTRY YOU'D LIKE TO VISIT

Today, I write about Mexico, because I like to travel to Mexico.

I know little about Mexico, but I think that this is a interesting country.

I know only pictures of Mexico and videos of Mexico and I think that places and people are interesting.

Mexico have a lot of beautiful places and spectacular buildings, because in this country there were old civilizatons that left important legacy, for example, mayas y aztecs.

Too, I think that mexican culture is interesting, I would like to meet and talk with people from that country to learn about their history and culture.

But, I think that the best of Mexico is their food. I love that seasoned and spicy food. Is really delicious!.

I like`d to eat some tacos and shot of tequila in México. Too, I think that would be fun dance

"rancheras" (hahaha).

Well, I like`d travel to Mexico only for tourist, because, I don`t know much about education in Mexico, so I don`t plan to study beyond.

Well, I think that travel is very interesting and funny, so I like`d travel to several places, but Mexico is a of the country interesting to me, because, in adition, idiom of this country is spanish, so comunication would be easy.

The Mapuche Conflict.

Well, today I write about the Mapuche Conflict.

The Mapuche conflict is very old, problems with this ethnicity existed since spanish colonization. Settlers did not respected to originary ethnic when they come to american lands. Spanish invaded and stole lands of indigenous people.

Actually, Mapuches struggle for land and protest to demand respect for their traditions and culture in general.

Mapuches were processed to terrorist laywer, and this conden is terrible compared with other process.

Mapuches consider that their conden is unfair, so, this year, Between Monday 12th July and 8th October a Mapuche group of prisions of the south of Chile, start a hungry strike. Razon to this is that Mapuches protesting to “end of Terrorist laywer”.

Medias to several days not reported about hungry strike, so Government was not preocupated this theme, people began to protesting to extraofficials channels and members of government were obliged to consider the problema and search solutions to solve conflict.

In the country, there were several protest in support of the strikes. Many people also held fasts to support the striker Mapuche.

President Piñera proposed creation of a dialogue between mapuches representatives y govermment representatives. After several days of negotiation was posible a according to finish hunger strike.

I think that, in general, Traditions and peoples of origiunarias cultures are not respected, since the time of spanish colonist, to the current govermment. So, in my opinion, the recent hunger strike was an extreme measura, but needed to be heard.

My favourite movie.

Hi class!

Today, I`ll write about my favourite movie.

My favourite movie is “Paranormal Activity”. In 2006, this movie is recorded in a house of Saint Diego, California.

Director of my fauvorite movie is Oren Pelí. He is a debutante director, because “Paranormal Activity” is his first film, wich presented at a festival where it was awarded and after was a success in cinema in many countries.

Only three actors act in “Paranormal Activity” movie, Kathy and Micah are principal actors, and a men that is a expert in paranormal phenomena, this men appear a bit minutes, when visit house a day.

Format this film is as a documental, Micah records all in his new house.

The plot of movie is that Kathy and Micah liven in your new home, where paranormal phenomena happen.

Micah placed his video camera in the bedroom at night to record if happen paranormal phenomena and when review the recordings confirm that there paranormal activity.

Kathy tells Micah that a child phenomenas paranormal happen. So, couple decide communicate with an expert in such phenomena. This man visit Micah and Kathy house and he confirm a paranormal presence and says that it is malignant.

Well, I did not tell the end of this movie, because I recommend you see it.

this movie scared me, but it is very good. I think that this film meets the objective to become a horror movie
